Nevada Gun Laws

  Open Carry: Lawful
  Duty to Notify Law Enforcement: Only when asked by the officer
  State Parks: Concealed Carry is legal in accordance with state laws that regulate the right to carry
  Restaurants Serving Alcohol: No specific restriction
  Firearms at Colleges: Schools individually decide the weapons policy.
  Firearms at K-12 Schools: You may not have a firearm (not even in a vehicle) absent written permission from authorities.
  Church Carry: Churches act like any other private property and may restrict
on a church by church basis
  Hotels: No legal restriction - Reference article on page 67
  Secure Storage Requirements: Firearms must be securely stored when one knows or reasonably should know that a juvenile can gain access to the firearm without the permission of their parent or guardian or when a resident of the premises is ineligible to possess a firearm.
  Magazine Capacity Limitations: No restrictions
  Suppressor Ownership: Lawful
  Vehicle Possession Without Recognized Permit: Loaded handguns are lawful if not "on the person." Under a seat, in a glove box, or on top of a seat are NOT considered "on the person." Loaded long guns are illegal.
  Firearm Law Uniformity: Uniform throughout the state
  Permit Training Requirements: Applicant must complete a 8 hour course that includes a specific live course of fire.
  Non-Resident Permits: Non-residents may apply but must appear in person.
  Constitutional Carry: No
  Duty to Retreat: No Duty to Retreat
  Places Off Limits: A permittee shall not carry a concealed firearm while he is on the premises of a public building that is
located on the property of a public airport.
A permittee shall not carry a concealed firearm while he is on the premises of:
(a) A public building that is located on the property of a public school or a child care facility or the
property of the Nevada System of Higher Education, unless the permittee has obtained written
permission to carry a concealed firearm while he is on the premises of the public building
(b) A public building that has a metal detector at each public entrance or a sign posted at each public
entrance indicating that no firearms are allowed in the building, unless the permittee is not prohibited
from carrying a concealed firearm while he is on the premises of the public building
Except as otherwise provided in this section, a person shall not carry or possess while on the
property of the Nevada System of Higher Education, a private or public school or child care facility, or while
in a vehicle of a private or public school or child care facility
